1. Subject – Verb Agreement

Example :

1. The Car works very well

Keterangan : Car ( Singular) Works ( Singular)

2. The Cars work very well

Keterangan : Cars (Plural) Work (Plural)

Subject Separated from the Verb

Example :

1.The Child is playing football

Keterangan : Child (Singular) is (singular)

2. The Children are playing football

Keterangan : Children (Plural) Are (Plural)

2. Collective Nouns

Example :

1. The majority wants to come in the ceremony tonight.

Keterangan : The majority (Singular) wants (singular)

2. The majority of the students want to come in the ceremony tonight.

Keterangan : The majority (plural) want (plural)

3. Pronoun-Subject-Object

Example : possessive adj+possessive pronoun

Kalimat Possessive Pronoun :

My house is the biggest one. (Rumahku adalah yang terbesar.)

The city is my hometown.  (Kota tsb adalah kampung halamanku.

Kalimat Possessive Adjective :

Mine is the biggest one. (Milikku adalah yang terbesar.)

The city is mine. (Kota tsb milikku.)
